and there is a time to dance

|

It was one of those days. Cooper woke up crying in the middle of the night, woke up an hour early this morning, and hardly napped at all this afternoon. That left lots of awake time for him to whine and cling to me. I could tell he must be sick or hurting in some way, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t drive me bananas. Apparently I need to work on my compassion a little more. I felt a little vindicated when Uncle/Dr. Luke looked in Cooper’s ears tonight and spied some redness. At least I know neither one of us was going crazy!

All that to say… sometimes you just need to be reminded of why you love someone. In regards to my little boy, this video does that for me. It was a few weeks ago, Aunt Marion had stopped by to say hello, and Cooper decided it was time to dance. Literally, he will walk over to the stereo, point to it, and say, “Pea, pea!” (translation: “Please, please!) What happens next, well… just watch and see. Keep in mind, though, that this doesn’t hold a candle to the live version.

p.s. Cooper gets his dance moves from his dad. Especially the stomping. I would never.

I can't watch the video at work and it's killing me! But I did get to see the Katie version of the Cooper dance LIVE and i'm sure it is just as cute. :)

HILARIOUS!!! We love it! We have some of those same mad dance moves but I must say that the stomping puts it over the top! Way to cute!!!

Love this dancing machine! My favorite moves were the fancy squats. He'll have to teach Sydney that move:)

I found your blog from Seth and Katie's. I'm digging the dancing. Should Cooper ever need a dancing partner, Graham has the bouncing/head moves down. He needs a little work on the stomping, but I am sure Cooper could help with that. If he would like to know how to moonwalk, Campbell got the gift from my father and would love to host some lessons.
